Randall Woodfin was elected mayor of Birmingham Tuesday, Oct. 3. Woodfin is now the youngest mayor of Birmingham since 1893.
Woodfin is a Birmingham native and studied political science Morehouse College. He was the Student Government Association president during his senior year.
Woodfin has worked for a number of areas of the city of Birmingham as an attorney and earned the position of assistant city attorney.
He was elected to the Birmingham Board of Education, in which he served from 2013 to 2015.
