61st annual Grammy Awards recap

It’s a wrap for the 61st annual Grammy Awards.

The show went down Sunday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and was hosted by Alicia Keys.

This year’s awards show opened with a blazing performance by Camilia Cabello. She performed her single "Havana," with features from Ricky Martin, Young Thug, J Balvin, and Arturo.

Other performers included Cardi B, H.E.R.,, Post Malone, Travis Scott, and many more. The legendary Diana Ross took the stage in a performance to celebrate her upcoming 75th birthday and J. Lo, Ne-Yo, and Smokey Robinson performed at Motown Tribute.

There was also a tribute to the late Aretha Franklin with a performance from Yolanda Adams, Fantasia, and Andra Day.

This year’s award show was a “Grammy first” for some as several artists took home Grammys for the first time. R&B artist PJ Morton won his first Grammy with the Best Traditional R&B Performance of the Year award and H.E.R. was also a big first time Grammy winner, taking home three awards (Best R&B Song, Best R&B Album, and Best New Artist).

Cardi B was another first-time winner as she received the Best Rap Album award.
